Group Peer Support
This 8-week group support programme is designed to help adult survivors of childhood abuse and trauma find healing and empowerment through the principles of Judith Herman's trauma recovery philosophy. The programme aims to create a safe and supportive environment where participants can share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

Life Coach & Neurodiverse Coach
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with our own fully qualified Life Coach. This will allow clients who have gone through our therapy programme to focus on their present and future self. Ask a member of SRFCA for more details.

Creative Group
We run regular blocks of creative groups, each group has approximately 10 participants and covers things like painting, pottery/clay modelling, photography, cyanotype etc. Speak to a member of SRFCA for more details.

Forest Bathing & Mindlfulness
Forest bathing or ‘shinrin-yoku’ was first developed in Japan in the 1980s, following scientific studies conducted by the government. The results showed that two hours of mindful exploration in a forest could reduce blood pressure, lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and improve concentration and memory. They also found that trees release chemicals called phytoncides, which have a protective antimicrobial effect on human bodies and thereby boost the immune system. As a result of this research, the Japanese government introduced ‘shinrin-yoku’ as a national health programme.

Walk n Talk
Beginning in May, our weekly walk n talk programme which will cover various topics over a 6 week period. Free refreshments provided at the end of the walk at a local Coffee house in Stirling.

Branching Out
In April, we run a 12-week programme of woodland activities, Branching Out teaches participants about coping strategies to maintain positive mental health. It offers participants a chance to increase their self-confidence, explore new places and activities, and feel engaged with their community.
